Ms. B - Director/Teacher 

Pho B. is a proud New Jersey native who specializes in ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, and jazz dance. She grew up training at the Movement Dance Academy and is an alumna of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she earned her B.A. in K-12 Dance Education and danced for the Charlotte 49ers Gold Dusters. "Ms. B" teaches dance for the CMS school disctrict and has been named the 2016-2017 Principal's Award Recipient and a 2018 MeckEd Teachers of Excellence Recipient. She currently dances for the Charlotte Hornets dance team, the Honey Bees!

 

Mrs. T- Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz/Lyrical Teacher 

Mrs. T is born and raised in North Carolina and specializes in ballet, hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, and majorette. She grew up as a competitive cheerleader before training in majorette & jazz dance in grade school.  She was also captain of the dance team until she graduated high school. Entering into college at the University at North Carolina at Greensboro in the fall of 2016, she began to train technically in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, and hip-hop.  In May of 2020, she graduated from UNCG with a English degree and a dance minor! Currently, Mrs. T is an IB 6th Grade Language Arts teacher for the CMS school system.

Ms. Laya - Ballet, Hip Hop Instructor

Ms. Laya is from Charlotte, NC. She began dancing with Dilworth Performing and Visual Arts school, as she aspired to continue, she began dancing competitively with several companies in the Charlotte area. She found her home with a faith based nonprofit youth organization known as Inspire the Fire.  She graduated with honors from Northwest School of the Arts as a double major in Musical Theatre and Dance. Sanders obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from Coker College in Hartsville, SC (2019) where she was a member of the Coker Repertory Dance Company, studying Graham, Horton and Limon technique.

 

Ms. Kayla - Hip Hop, Jazz/Lyrical Instructor

Kayla was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She started dancing in the 6th grade at Northwest School of the Arts where she studied ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance. After relocating schools she joined the dance team at Hopewell High school for all four years. After graduating she began to dance back up for artist in the Carolinas and surrounding areas for live events and music videos. Kayla also teaches Jazz and Hip hop classes periodically at other local studios and contributes to concept videos. She strives to continue and evolve her dance career as well as begin acting.

Ms. Cola - Hip Hop, Jazz/Lyrical, Majorette/Tumbling Instructor

Ms. Cola is originally from Raleigh, NC and specializes in hip-hop, majorette, jazz and contemporary.  She grew up dancing since the age of 3 with Vereen’s School of Dance, studying ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical.  Shircola graduated from UNC Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Minor in Women and Gender Studies.  While in college, she danced for the hip-hop dance team called Tantrum.  Shircola later obtained her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, FL.  Currently, Shircola is a full-time Attorney, a Board of Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs and a member of the Carolina Hurricanes Entertainment team, The Canes Crew, formerly known as, the Storm Squad.  

 

Ms. Gabi - Tap Instructor

Ms. Gabi is currently serving as our Tap Dance teacher here at Chassé Center of Dance. She grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she participated in dance for fourteen years recreationally and competitively. She is currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte pursuing a degree in Psychology and Dance.

Ms. A - Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz/Lyrical Teacher 

Alasia R. is a North Carolina native. She began dancing at the age of 15 and specializes in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Majorette and Musical Theatre. In 2017 she graduated from Steps on Stage Academy of Performing Arts where she was apart of the senior  company team for a total of four years. Entering into college in 2017, she continued her dance training at North Carolina A&T where she was introduced to the HBCU majorette style. Alasia now attends UNCC as a Exercise Science major and is expected to graduate May 2022. In addition to working at Chassè she also is a  Enternal Feeding Technician for the Neonatal Unit at Levine Children’s Hospital and a mom to a handsome little boy named Amor.
