Ms. B - Director & Lead Teacher
Ms. B. is a proud New Jersey native who specializes in ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, and jazz dance. She grew up training at the Movement Dance Academy and is an alumna of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she earned her B.A. in K-12 Dance Education and danced for the Charlotte 49ers Gold Dusters. Ms. B taught dance for the CMS school district and was named the 2016-2017 Principal's Award Recipient and a 2018 MeckEd Teachers of Excellence Recipient. She danced for the Charlotte Hornets dance team, the Honey Bees, from 2020-2022 and now teaches K-12 dance for a charter school!
Ms. Courtney - Tumbling & Leaps/Turns Instructor
Ms. Courtney is a Charlotte, North Carolina native. She has been dancing since the age of four. She has competed in national dance competitions, performed at NBA halftime shows, concerts, church events, and more. Courtney attended Winston-Salem State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.Throughout her college career she was a member of the A.R.T.dance company and a member of the WSSU Marching Band, Red Sea of Sound as a Scarlet Lace dancer. Courtney has hosted dance camps, fitness events, master classes, coached dance teams and so much more! She developed a passion and love for the art of dance at a young age and till this day she continues to practice and share her skills with others.
Mr. Jammie - Tumbling Instructor
Mr. Jammie was born and raised here in the Queen City where he graduated hight school from Northwest School of the Arts. Growing up, Jammie danced and played sports as well as competitive all-star cheer. He specializes in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acro (tumbling), and Cheer. Outside of teaching and training he is also a member of the Hive Hip Hop Crew for the Charlotte Hornets.
Ms. Rilee - Tap Instructor
Ms. Rilee is a Charlotte born native and a graduate from North Carolina State University. She grew up training and dancing competitively in a variety of styles including jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, and ballet. While at NC State, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science. She was also a member of the North Carolina State Dance Team, 'The Howling Hunnies', and Fusion Dance Crew during her four year journey. On NC State's Dance Team she performed at many sold out games from football, basketball, and baseball. She also competed with the team in National competitions. During her time on Fusion Dance Crew, she helped choreograph many dance sets to perform at crew showcases ranging from states in the DMV area and North/South Carolina.
Ms. Nia - Leaps/Turns & Jazz Instructor
Ms. Nia was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She began training in ballet and tap at the age of four. Years later, Nia entered the competition world and trained at Dance Attack Miami, where she continued her training, adding jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and ballroom. As a dancer, Nia has achieved many awards at the Regional and National level. Nia is currently a student at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in finance and minoring in dance. While attending UNC Charlotte, Nia was a member of Range of Motion Dance Ensemble in the fall of 2022. As a dance teacher, Nia aims to encourage students to feel confident and motivated.
Ms. Ciauri - Ballet Instructor
Ms. Ciauri Monét is a talented dancer and model hailing from Charlotte. With a strong foundation in classical ballet, she honed her skills at Charlotte Ballet from ages 11 to 18, showcasing her talent in notable performances such as the Charlotte Ballet Nutcracker and Duke Ellington's Nutcracker Swing. Ciauri pursued a dance major at the renowned North West School of the Arts and was a member of the spirited Oh La La dance team at Howard University in 2021. Her dedication to dance led her to participate in prestigious programs like the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive in 2018. Ciauri also shares her knowledge and passion by teaching the First Ward dance team and assisting the dance department at Inspire the Fire.
Ms. Maggie- Ballet Instructor
Ms. Maggie was born in Harmony, North Carolina. She grew up training at Betty’s School of Dance for 13 years, and she is an alumna of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she earned a degree in Dance with a Concentration in K-12 Education. Ms. Maggie specializes in many dance styles such as ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, acrobatics, musical theater, and more! Ms. Maggie currently teaches dance for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School district. Dance and teaching are Ms. Maggie’s two biggest passions in life!
Ms. Arianna- Jazz & Hip-Hop Instructor
Ms. Arianna is from Winston-Salem, NC. She is a student at UNC Charlotte, majoring in Criminal Justice and double minoring in Statistics and Psychology. She has been dancing since age 2 and has done competitive dance for 6 years. Ms. Arianna was a dance teacher assistant for her high school dance department during her senior year of high school. This past summer, Ms. Arianna was a camp counselor for Chassé Center of Dance and taught for the non-profit organization “Urban Promise”.
